How Do "Answer the Call" Upgrades Work?
The core feature of this promo is the live upgrade mechanic tied to real-world national team selections. Players featured in this promo are considered to be "on the cusp" of securing a call-up for their respective countries.
If a Festival of Football: Answer the Call player officially gets the nod and makes their national team roster, their Ultimate Team item will level up with:
- +1 OVR Upgrade
- A new PlayStyle+ (3rd PlayStyle+)
- Roles++ Upgrades
Additionally, all promo items feature enhanced nation Chemistry links, making it much easier to build hybrid international squads.

- Flashbacks & Moments: EA is honoring past legends who made unexpected final call-ups in previous tournaments, as well as players who famously helped their nations reach pre-tournament play-offs.
- Showdown SBCs: To recognize crucial real-world clashes, new Showdown SBCs will drop for the upcoming play-off semi-finals, including Italy vs. Northern Ireland and Ukraine vs. Sweden.
Objectives & Game Modes: Cross-Continent Competition
Festival of Football completely shakes up the gameplay loop by introducing two separate league competitions celebrating the South American Qualifiers and the European Qualifiers.
When taking part in the South American League and European League, your mixed-nation squads will be bonded together by a special Chemistry boost.
- Completionist Objectives: By rising to the top of these leagues and completing the two separate Completionist Objectives, you will maximize your rewards and earn a Festival of Football: Answer the Call Campaign Guarantee Pack.
- Flash Rush: You can also put your favorite national team players to the test in the brand-new National Team Flash Rush Event.
International Evolutions
If you want to elevate some of the current talent already in your club, Festival of Football brings a massive drop of nine new Evolutions. Three of these Evolutions will feature strict, nation-specific requirements, allowing you to grant international honors and custom upgrades to players from select countries.
