The Web App and Companion App are online extensions that allow users to access their FUT Club without the need to be on a console, and provide users with a way to manage different aspects of their Club on the go, or when their console is unavailable.
The Web App, followed closely by the Companion App, is traditionally the first step many users will take into a new iteration of FIFA.

Although EA Sports didn’t announce a specific time for its release, the Web App has tended to be released at around 5pm-7pm UK Time, so we can expect this year’s Web App to launch at around the same time.
Time Zones:
9am-11am PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) - Wednesday
12pm-2pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time USA) – Wednesday

To access the Web App, you will need to visit the Ultimate Team Web App website and log into the EA account that’s linked to your PSN, Xbox, Switch, or Stadia ID accounts.
When does the FIFA 23 Companion App come out?
The Companion App usually comes out the day after the Web App is released, so the Companion App will be released tomorrow, Thursday, September 22.
To access the Companion App, you will need to head to the app store on your device (Apple or Android), and search for ‘EA Sports FIFA 23 Companion App’, download the App, then log in with your EA account.
If you already have the Companion App installed, you will just need to update the App whenever EA releases the new version.
What will I be able to do on the Web App and the Companion App?
Although you won’t be able to take part in any sort of gameplay, both Apps will enable you to:
- Open packs in the Store
- Manage your Squad
- Buy and sell players, consumables, and staff on the Transfer Market
- Complete Squad Building Challenges
- Complete non-gameplay-based Objectives
- Claim Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champion rewards
- Claim welcome back packs
- Customise your Stadium
- Personalise your Club (Badge, Kits, Nickname etc)
- View Leaderboards
- Buy FIFA Points (unconfirmed)
Neither the Web App nor Companion App can be used while you are currently logged into your account on console, so you will have to log out on console to be able to access the Apps.
What’s the difference between the Web App and the Companion App?
While both the Web App and Companion share similarities and functions, the Web App is accessible via a web browser, whereas the Companion App is only accessible via mobile and tablet devices.
Can I use the FIFA 23 Web App if I haven't pre-ordered the game?
Yes, you can gain access to the Web App without pre-ordering FIFA 23. However, you will need to buy the game before October 17 otherwise you will lose access to the Web App.
How do I get on the Companion and Web App as quickly as possible?
We recommend checking your 2 Factor Authentication method. Typically best way to avoid delays is to enable 2 Factor Authentication via Authenticator App, as explained in this EA Help Article.
