Hello and welcome to my Premier League Player of the Month prediction here on FUT.GG!
After September provided less games due to the passing of the Queen, October nearly had double the amount of games for some clubs which made it a bit harder to choose potential candidates for the month. While the usual teams like Manchester City, Chelsea or Arsenal have been performing quiet good, we also saw teams like Newcastle or Leicester having a really good October too and we should definetly see a Newcastle player among the nominees. But for now go and check out who I think could be nominated for the Premier League POTM award!
ST: Erling Haaland (Manchester City) - 89 OVR -> 90 OVR:
6 goals & 2 assists; 4 games - 3 wins - 1 loss
Okay let's start with probably the most obvious player and someone who probably could be a nominee every month, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian international once again proved why he's one of the best players in world football, especially with his performance in the Manchester Derby where he scored a hat-trick and assisted twice. There is a small chance we could see Foden being nominated too but even then I think Haaland will be one of the favourites to win his second POTM award and his first POTM card in FUT 23!
RM: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
3 goals & 1 assist; 5 games - 4 wins - 1 draw
October Player of the Month voting should also include a player from Arsenal and one who could be in the nominees is Bukayo Saka. The English youngster is an important piece in Arteta's side and game and apart from his dribbling ability and his ability to get in behind he's also capable of scoring goals with three to his name in October and also registered an assist.
GK: Kepa (Chelsea) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
3 clean sheets; 6 games - 3 wins - 2 draws - 1 loss
Okay let's talk about the goalkeeper in my prediction and one who actually should be a nominee. Chelsea kept 3 clean sheets in their last 6 Premier League games and surely you can praise the defenders for that achievement but if you watched the games you clearly saw that the Spaniard was by far the main reason for it. He kept the 3 clean sheets in October with crazy performances against Aston Villa or Brentford and it was weird he hasn't been awarded with an inform for it. The recent loss against Brighton & Hove shouldn't lower his chance to be nominated in my opinion.
RW: Miguel Almiron (Newcastle Utd.) - 78 OVR -> 82 OVR:
6 goals; 6 games - 5 wins - 1 draw
Let's talk about Newcastle United. Newcastle currently is sitting fourth in the standings which might be a surprise to anyone who isn't watching the Premier League on a regular basis but it looks like they finally found their team chemistry as they remain unbeaten in October. A couple players stood out, such as Guimaraes but Almiron should be the one to be nominated and is probably the one competing with Haaland for the award. 6 goals in October from the Paraguayan international definetly deserves a nomination and in my opinion he should also win it.
CB: Wout Faes (Leicester City) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
4 clean sheets; 6 games - 3 wins - 1 draw - 2 losses
It looks like Leicester City finally found their form again after their horrendous start to the season with only one win in 8 games. October was way better with 3 wins, one draw and two losses and Wout Faes was one of the reasons Leicester picked up a couple of important points with his performances in the back four and is on his way to become a fan favourite. Leicester recorded four clean sheets in six games and for me it's is Ward or Faes being nominated.
CAM: Andreas Pereira (Fulham) - 76 OVR -> 81 OVR:
1 goal & 3 assists; 5 games - 2 wins - 1 draw - 2 losses
Next up is Andreas Pereira. The former Manchester United midfielder player enjoyed a pretty good month personally with a goal and three assists and even though it was a month of mixed feelings for his club I still can see him being nominated.
Alright, this was my Premier League Player of the Month prediction and it's going to be pretty interesting who will end up being a candidate. I personally think it will be decided between Haaland and Miguel Almiron and for me personally Almiron deserves to win it even though his chances might be small due to Haaland just being a hyped player this season.
