Welcome to my predictions for the Serie A Team of the Season in EA FC 24! Today I’m going to be giving some insight into who might be in TOTS this year from Serie A, as well as their potential stats and PlayStyles.
I’ll be predicting a Starting XI with 6 subs, as well as a few honorable mentions at the end who could be in with a shout. To note, this is a prediction of what I think EA will do for Team of the Season, rather than a list of who I think is the most deserving.
TOTS Serie A Starting XI
Goalkeeper: Yann Sommer - Inter
Sommer has been a strong replacement for Onana as Inter have dominated the league this season. Inter have the fewest goals conceded in the league at time of writing - a impressive 14 - and Sommer’s experience in goal has been a big factor.
Right Back: Giovanni Di Lorenzo - Napoli
Although Napoli have had a difficult season, Di Lorenzo is still an important player for them and one of the best in Serie A. His reliable defending and eye for an assist have helped Napoli stay in the fight for European places this season.
Center Back: Bremer - Juventus
Bremer is one of the best defenders in the league, with his ability to bully attackers with both his impressive strength and valuable reading of the game. He also has 2 goals this season, while also using his aerial presence to help defend set pieces.
Center Back: Alessandro Bastoni - Inter
Bastoni is just as good at pinging passes from the back as he is at defending. His ability to hit inch-perfect long balls is a major asset for Inter’s build up play. As one of the best young defenders in the world, Bastoni is a key anchor for Inter in attack and defense.
Left Back: Theo Hernández - Milan
Although many questioned Theo’s inclusion in Team of the Year, he has surely been one of the best players in Serie A this season. He has an impressive 5 goals and 3 assists from left back, and is a key player for Milan. In what has been a season of left backs in Ultimate Team, he may be the best of the lot.
Center Midfielder: Hakan Çalhanoğlu - Inter
Hakan has reinvented himself from a dynamic attacking midfielder into an elegant regista, screening the defense while also pinging passes into attack. His set piece ability and eye for a defense-breaking through ball make him one of the best midfielders in Europe right now.
Center Midfielder: Adrien Rabiot - Juventus
A mercurial talent on and off the pitch, Rabiot has been a key factor in Juventus’ season so far. His all-action approach gets him involved in every aspect of the game. Ultimate Team players will appreciate his large frame in game, allowing him to cover ground and intercept passes as well as win headers.
Center Midfielder: Nicolò Barella - Inter
Barella has long been a fan favorite for Inter fans and Ultimate Team players alike. His short stature is great on the ball, and endless work rate allows him to contribute all over the pitch. As a leader in another strong season for Inter, he should have a great TOTS item.
Center Forward - Paulo Dybala - Roma
It’s no surprise to see Dybala included in the Team of the Season as one of the most talented players in Serie A. In what has been an up-and-down season for Roma, Dybala has consistently delivered goals and assists. Another Ultimate Team fan favorite, he should be a highly desired TOTS item.
Left Wing: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - Napoli
Similar to Dybala, “Kvaradona” has been a shining light in an inconsistent season for his club. His 5-star skill moves and weak foot will make him a very popular TOTS item, along with his ability to shoot, pass, and dribble.
Striker: Lautaro Martínez - Inter
The league’s top scorer is sure to make the Team of the Season, as his goals have helped carry Inter to a likely Serie A title. He’s averaging almost a goal a game in the league, and should have one of the best TOTS items in the league as well.
TOTS Serie A Mini-Release, Objective & SBCs
Right Back: Stefan Posch - Bologna
Bologna have had an extremely impressive season, and Posch’s ability at the back has been a big factor. His versatility allows him to play at right back and center back as well.
Left Back: Federico Dimarco - Inter
Yet another top left back, Dimarco is one of the best attacking full backs in the world. His TOTS item promises to be another strong addition to Ultimate Team’s left back arsenal.
Center Midfielder: Teun Koopmeiners - Atalanta
Koopmeiners has come alive for Atalanta - banging in 11 goals and 3 assists so far. While not the biggest name on the list, he could surprise Ultimate Team players with his ability in-game.
Right Wing: Christian Pulisic - Milan
Pulisic has found his new home in Milan with contributions from both wings. His strong work rate with occasional goal contributions have helped lift Milan to second in the table.
Striker: Olivier Giroud - Milan
The ageless wonder Giroud has had another impressive season in Milan as a target man contributing goals and assists. As he looks set to depart at the end of the season, Ultimate Team players will look to use the fan favorite one more time.
Striker: Dušan Vlahović - Juventus
An excellent poacher with an underrated link-up game, Vlahović has shone for Juventus yet again. His aerial presence with strong finishing will provide an interesting Ultimate Team item.
