FIFA 23 has now officially launched worldwide on all consoles, and the content has started flowing into the game. The first player SBC, OTW Di Maria, came during Early Access, and now we have our first Premier League POTM SBC of the year, which has gone to Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford after he won the September Premier League POTM award. But is his POTM SBC worth completing? Well, let's take a look.
What are the SBC requirements?
Squad 1: Manchester United
- Min 1 Player from Manchester United
- Min. Team Rating: 84
Squad 2: England
- Min 1 Player from England
- Min. Team Rating: 85
Squad 3: Premier League
- Min 1 Player from Premier League
- Min. Team Rating: 86
How much does POTM Rashford cost?
The price of the three squads combined is around 140,000 coins if you're starting from scratch, but it’ll be cheaper if you already have some untradeables in your Club that you can use in the SBCs.
When does POTM Rashford expire?
The SBC will expire on October 30th, so you have an entire month to complete it.
Is POTM Rashford worth it?
Although Rashford’s POTM Item has received a +3 Rating upgrade from his Gold Item, the majority of the upgrades have gone towards his Defending and Physical stats. In contrast, his Pace and Shooting have only gone up by +1 and +2 respectively, so the POTM Item hasn’t really been given that much of an upgrade over his Gold Item, which is purchasable from the market for around 14,000 coins. And at a cost of about 140,000 coins (minus untradeables), it’s a lot of coins and assets to give up at this early stage of the game, so this SBC doesn’t seem worth completing for me.
Another thing to note is the POTM Items only seem to be getting 1 Inform upgrade this year, as opposed to 2 Inform upgrades as we’ve seen in previous years, so if Rashford receives 1 TOTW or MOTM at any stage of the season, that Item will be the same rating as the POTM Item, making this Item rather obsolete. So that’s another thing you will need to consider if you’re considering completing the SBC.
