This is the sort of player I loved to see featured in Flashback SBCs as it means EA can take someone that used to be a hindrance to use in-game, but now can actually be hugely beneficial. Keeping in tune with the World Cup themed content, this SBC is to celebrate David Silva's legacy with the Spain national team during the FIFA World Cup '10 '14 & '18 editions.
David Silva Flashback SBC
From a glance alone, it's easy to see that EA has done a great job with the boost on David Silva's Flashback. He keeps the 4-star skill moves, but the weak foot has been increased from 2 to 4, which will have a huge impact. When it comes to links, you should be sweet with him being Spanish and playing for a La Liga club. In regards to Real Sociedad, you even have Rulebreakers Merino and TOTW Sørloth as options.
He has the same traits as the gold version, which includes the Flair, Outside Foot Shot, and Finesse shot traits which all fit the meta. In regards to face card stats has received the following: +23 pace, +12 shooting, +2 passing, +2 dribbling +15 defending, and +17 physicality.
It's worth noting that although the boost is amazing, some will have slight concerns over the card though and whether it's actually worth completing. For example, would you be better to go buy someone else from the market?
How much does the Flashback David Silva SBC cost?
You should be pleased to know that there is only 1 segment in the Squad Building Challenge for David Silva. You can find the requirements below:
- Min. 1 Players from: Spain
- Min. Team Rating: 85
The estimated cost is 62,600 coins, so it's not a crazy big investment to be making. You do not get any packs back in return, just the Flashback card.
Is it worth completing the Flashback David Silva SBC?
Now as mentioned, EA did a good job with the boost to David Silva, but it's not perfect by any means. Before giving the final verdict it should go without saying, that if there's any sentimental value to this SBC for you, then it's always worth completing as at the end of the day, it's all about enjoying FIFA with players you like. However, if there isn't any sentimental value, it's a tricky decision.
Complete or Yeet? Yeet. I think EA overpriced this one just a bit too much which is why it's not worth completing. The SBC costs 62k but you can jump on the transfer market and pick up Out of Position Lucas Vázquez for 45k who is arguably better outside of traits, or Out of Position Suso for 10.5k who is essentially a budget version.
