The first Eredivisie Player of the Month SBC has landed and it's leaving plenty of people asking questions, should you complete the new Gakpo POTM SBC or just buy his TOTW from the market and save a few coins? We are going to help you figure out, is Gakpo worth it.
Eredivisie POTM Gakpo SBC
Since the database got fully released there was a lot of excitement surrounding Gakpo. Eredivisie always offers great start squads and tends to get a couple of good promo players throughout the game, so Gakpo had the potential to be a long-standing option for teams without having to spend big. There is a lot to like about him, boasting 4* star skill moves and weak foot, along with the finesse shot and outside-of-the-foot shot traits, he fits the meta incredibly well. He also comes with the Controlled AcceleRATE type and cannot be changed from this, so although he can't be made lengthy, being 6'2' with controlled and having well-rounded stats will make him play very well in-game.
While there are not many PSV links to really highlight, you shouldn't have an issue with getting Gakpo onto full chemistry thanks to him being from the Netherlands. If you are after a good, easy, free link to Gakpo, make sure you select Kasanwirjo from the Level 15 Season reward. He's a RB that has alternate positions of CB and CDM, so can open plenty of doors regarding squad building.
How Much Does POTM Gakpo Cost?
Currently the Gakpo POTM SBC costs 25,000 coins, if you were purchasing the fodder from the transfer market. Below you can find the SBC requirements:
- Netherlands Players: Minimum 1 in your Starting 11.
- 85 and Higher Overall Players: Minimum 2 in your Starting 11.
- Team Overall Rating: Minimum 84
Is the POTM Gakpo SBC worth it?
It is worth noting that you can pick up 85 rated TOTW Gakpo on the market for 10,000 coins less. 15,000 coins less than this SBC costs. Are those 10,000 coins worth it for the minimal stat boost? There are more important things to take note of. For example, when Icon Swaps come out there will be requirements to use First Owner players, so despite technically costing an extra 10,000 coins, the value of having POTM Gakpo first owner along with the small stat boosts could prove valuable.
If you have the potential to link Gakpo to your team, then you should certainly be considering this SBC. One final thing to take into account is that there are only a handful of SBCs to throw duplicate untradables into, which means you should 100% look at completing the Gakpo SBC if you have fodder that you need to use.
