EA have rereleased the 90+ Prime, TOTY, FUT Birthday or Trophy Titan Player Pick SBC and maybe due to my acerbic takedown of the value of the previous one, they have rethought the requirments. Unlikely, but you can't rule it out.
The cost to complete the Player Pick from scratch is 296.9K, bearing in mind the most recent 90+ icon player pick cost 400k, this is a much, much more reasonable level.
85, 86 and 87 rated squads are required, with the latter requiring a TOTS or TOTS Moments. Apart from the obvious price reduction, another really good aspect of this SBC when compared to the last one is that the packs back, one of the only pro's from the last iteration, are the same. A Small Prime Gold Players pack and a Small Rare Gold Players pack, have decent potential to give you significant tradeable returns.
Another huge bonus for this SBC is that it's now much easier to grind toward. The difference between an 87 rated squad and an 89 rated squad is massive. If you pick up a ROTW TOTS or a duplicate TOTS, they should make a really hefty dent in the 87 rated squad. With upgrades due out tomorrow and fodder packs being rewarded left, right and centre, you could easily grind up to one of these over the week. Whilst I still think Primes should be removed, I can get on board them being in this with the price change.
There are 144 players in the pool of which 48 cost more than the SBC. With 3 icons to pick from, this is a much friendlier ratio than the 36/144 that the previous price offered. A mix of Primes and Trophy Titans seem to be the most likely selection you'll be offered. TOTY and FUT Birthday Icons contain a much higher proportion of the wins.
I still think this should be 91 or 92 at least, the number of icons removed with the 90+ bar can be counted on two hands, maybe that's the next version we'll see.
Should You Complete? Yeah? — My relaxed attitude towards lucky dip SBC's has returned with this price. I wouldn't be buying it from scratch but if you have the fodder to bring the price below 100k, I think it's worth a gomble.
