With EA Sports FC 25 around the corner, we are here to help you get prepped and ready for Ultimate Team.
To make the most of your early access, here are the Top 5 tips for starting FC 25:
1. Play Squad Battles
Yes, you heard that right. Play your Squad Battles games. You should be able to get a small squad right off the back with starter packs, playing Squad Battles should allow you to have some packs for the First Rewards in Ultimate Team.
While playing Squad Battles you will also earn match coins, get a handle on how to play the game before you jump into rivals and also chip away at some Objectives to get you even more packs.
2. Complete Key Objectives
At the start of Ultimate Team you will have two kinds of objectives that you can complete: Weekly Rush Objectives and Milestone Objectives.
With the Weekly Rush Objectives you should be able to unlock yet another set of rewards, while Milestone Objectives will let you earn some BIG packs right off the bat and get a start on your Ultimate Team journey.
Make sure to complete the Rush objective as they reset every week!
3. Complete SBCs - but be careful!
Starter and Advanced SBCs are a good source of packs, but ever since the rewards have been made untradable you need to be careful with how you complete them.
At the start of the game, coins are more valuable than anything else, a few coins here and there to earn an untradable pack might pay off but it's better to not spend a lot of coins on SBCs at the start of the game.
A lot of people are trying to complete Advanced SBCs so popular players might be inflated at the moment, wait for prices to come down or hope to pack them before completing SBCs.
If you only have 10 Hours of Early Access then do not complete SBCs in game. Instead use the webapp/companion app to complete SBCs and build your squad, use your time wisely and get the most gameplay out of it.
4. How to spend your Pre Order Bonus 4600 FC Points?
At the start of the game you will be able to spend FC Points on these things:
- Gold 7.5K Packs
- Promo Packs
- Evolutions
- Draft Game Mode
- Premium Season Pass(Rumoured)
Last year, for the first time we saw Promo Packs being released during early access, with most people already having spent their bonus FC Points these were a sore miss especially since they provide the better value.
With the Rumoured Premium Season Pass, you might be able to spend your points on it as well for some long term benefits.
Evolutions at the start of the game, even paid ones, might not be the best way to spend your points unless you have a player that you 100 percent are going to be using for a long time.
Draft, by far would be the worst way for you to spend your coins given that only the best players will be on there and historically, draft rewards are not value for money even if you win it.
The plan to spend FC points in my opinion would be this:
- Check the Premium Season Pass for player/pack rewards and how soon you get them, if it is good this is first priority
- Wait for the Promo Packs, do not waste the points on Premium Gold 7.5K Packs
- Check to see if a favoured player or a Meta Player fits a paid evo from the Evolutions page, use points there.
- Remaining points can be spent on Gold Packs
- If you REALLY want to experience the gameplay, use it on Draft
5. Keep or Sell Tradable players?
One of the biggest questions that we have at the start of the Ultimate Team cycle is whether we should Keep or Sell your tradable players?
Let's break this down and give you a blueprint to follow:
Which tradable players to keep in FC 25?
Here are the types of players you should keep if you pack them tradable at the start of FC 25:
- Discard Price Players: If your player is selling at a discard price, there is no risk in keeping them as you can get the coins at any point, they might rise in price for many reasons later on
- High Rated Fodder: With a lack of player SBCs right at the start, the demand of High Rated Non-Meta players is very low, they aren't good in game and you don't have SBCs so it is best to keep them
- Meta Silver Players: There will be Silver Players that will potentially be meta in game, due to Player Roles, stats or PlayStyles and with the right Evo could shoot in price, so keep them for now
- Low Rated Meta Players: With coin balances being low, if you want to be competitive in online game modes like Division Rivals and FUT Champs you will need a good squad. To avoid losing big coins, keep and use these players in your team.
Which tradable players to sell in FC 25?
Here are the types of players you should sell if you pack them tradable at the start of FC 25:
- Popular Nation Bronze Players: People will want to complete starter SBCs so there will be a little demand for them at the start which should die down soon, sell them once you complete your Starter SBCs.
- High Rated Meta Players: At the start of the game when the player selection is so scarce, everyone will be gunning to get these players and get a head start in FUT Champs and Rivals, their prices heading into the first weekend league historically have risen before they fall as people get enough coins after the full launch. Sell your High Rated Meta players between 1st to 3rd October
