A difficult week to follow up on and although there is no Messi to get excited for with the likes of Lewandowski, Luis Diaz, Bremer and Olise there is still plenty of options to get hyped for!
TOTW 2 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Péter Gulácsi (RB Leipzig) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
The ever-reliable Kicker strikes again, awarding another perfect 1 match rating, making this an easy goalkeeper selection. With four crucial saves to his name, the Hungarian was pivotal in Leipzig's 0-0 away draw with St. Pauli
CB: Bremer (Juventus) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Both defensive and Serie A options were few and far between this week so with Bremer being awarded MOTM during Juventus's 0-0 draw with Napoli he seems to be a strong candidate for this side.
CB: Matteo Gabbia (AC Milan) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Both Inter and AC Milan have had a subpar start to the season, so this rivalry match could be the spark they need to turn things around. A late goal from Gabbia secured a 2-1 win for AC Milan, marking just their second win from five matches.
CB: Toby Alderweireld (Antwerp) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Alderweireld has been crucial for Antwerp since joining, and this week was no different. His two goals, including a late winner, secured a 2-1 away victory for the Belgian side, making him a strong contender for the TOTW.
LM: Luis Díaz (Liverpool) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Díaz continued his sublime start to the season with two more goals against Bournemouth on Saturday. Liverpool won the match 3-0, with the Colombian’s brace playing a key role in securing their fourth win in five matches.
CM: Ruben Neves (Al-Hilal) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
In a top-of-the-table clash in Saudi Arabia, Al-Hilal secured a 3-1 win to maintain their perfect record. Ruben Neves provided two assists in the match, and with limited central midfield options available, it would be surprising if he missed out on this TOTW.
LW: Rasheedat Ajibade (Atletico Madrid) - 83 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Ajibade could be one of the best early in-form cards in the game, with her two goals and one assist in Atletico Madrid’s 4-0 win. The female side of UT continues to gain more traction and we should see at least two per week going forward.
RM: Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Olise has taken to life in Germany superbly with two goals and one assist this weekend during Munich's 5-0 win over Bremen taking him to four goals and three assists for the season. Kompany has turned Munich into a ruthless side with twenty goals across their latest three matches.
ST: Artem Dovbyk (Roma) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Dovbyk may be a bit of a long shot, but his goal and assist in Roma's 3-0 win earned him a 7.5 rating from Gazzetta, the joint-highest in Italy this week. His inclusion could prove popular, making him a solid pick for EA.
ST: Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) - 79 OVR -> 82 OVR:
Despite scoring 14 goals last season, Jackson faced doubts over his ability. However, his impressive form has continued this season, with a brace over the weekend taking his tally to four goals in five matches.
ST: Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) - 88 OVR -> 89 OVR:
Lewandowski’s strong start to the season continued, with two more goals taking his total to six for the campaign. While Raphina also impressed, with many winger options available, Lewandowski’s inclusion makes sense as a top choice for this week's TOTW.
TOTW 1 Predicted Subs & Reserves
RB: Pol Lirola (Marseille) - 71 OVR -> 80 OVR:
Despite only coming on as a substitute at halftime, Lirola made a significant impact. He scored once and provided an assist, helping Marseille secure a 3-2 win away at Lyon. L’Équipe awarded his performance an 8/10
RM: Enzo Millot (Stuttgart) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Stuttgart played an almost perfect match this weekend as they demolished Dortmund 5-1. Multiple players could receive an IF from this match but with Millot being named MOTM with a perfect 1 Kicker rating I would expect the Frenchman to get the nod.
CAM: Evander (Portland) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Evander’s IF comes from his midweek performance against LA Galaxy, where he scored twice and assisted another in a 4-2 win. He followed that up with another goal over the weekend, which should cement his position in this week’s team.
LW: Youssoufa Moukoko (Nice) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Nice recorded the biggest win of the weekend, scoring eight past St Etienne without reply. Moukoko excelled throughout scoring twice and assisting another from the wing to receive an 8/10 from L'equipe.
LM: Vicenzo Grifo (Freiburg) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Bundesliga provided numerous wide midfield options this week and while one may miss out I have included three, Grifo being the third. The Italian usually plays a big role in Freiburg's success with this being no exception.
ST: Laura Freigang (Frankfurt) - 83 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Frankfurt recorded a comfortable 6-0 away win this weekend with Freigang scoring three of those six. Playing in the more advanced ST role the German was clinical in front of the goal.
ST: Ivan Toney (Al-Ahli) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
We can expect several IF cards for Toney throughout the season, with the first likely arriving this week. The Englishman scored twice and provided an assist as Al-Ahli secured a 4-2 home win over Damac.
LB: Anass Salah-Eddine (Twente) - 67 OVR -> 80 OVR:
Twente secured an emphatic 5-0 away win over Almere, with Salah-Eddine playing a key role. He contributed a goal, an assist, and kept a clean sheet. His impressive performance, including an 8/10 rating from VI, makes him a strong contender for this spot.
LM: Joel Monteiro (Young Boys) - 72 OVR -> 80 OVR:
Monteiro is the first of four hat tricks to conclude this prediction with his goals helping Young Boys towards a 4-1 away win.
RW: Kiko Seike (Brighton) - 72 OVR -> 80 OVR:
Brighton recorded a comfortable 4-0 win over Everton with Seike scoring three of those four, helping Brighton to a dream start in the WSL.
ST: Leonardo Rocha (Radomiak) - 66 OVR -> 80 OVR:
Rocha managed a treble during Radomiak's comfortable 4-0 win. The Polish division often gains preference during EA's selection process.
ST: Isac Lidberg (Darmstadt) - 65 OVR -> 80 OVR:
After Schalke raced to a 3-0 lead, Darmstadt made an incredible comeback, inspired by Lidberg’s hat-trick. His treble turned the tide, resulting in a dramatic 5-3 victory.
