TOTW 14 Predicted Starting XI
Not as much to get excited about as previous sides, but with Son, Katoto, and a featured duo of Sarr and Sung Lee, there are at least some players worth packing.
GK: Jordan Pickford (Everton) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
The keeper position could end up going several routes, but I have opted for Pickford, with Everton shocking Arsenal and holding them to a 0-0 draw. Pickford made several saves, with one at the near post especially standing out.
LB: Antonee Robinson (Fulham) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Another surprise result in the Premier League came with Fulham holding league leaders Liverpool to a 2-2 draw. Robinson provided assistance on both Fulham goals, which proved to be a constant threat down the left-hand side of the pitch.
CB: Brandon Mechele (Club Brugge) - 75 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Belgian division continues to receive a lot of love from EA this year, and with limited defensive options available for selection this week, I can see another being included from the division. Mechele scored one of Brugge's two goals as they recorded a 2-0 win.
LB: Carolin Simon (Munich) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Potsdam have only picked up one point so far this season, so a match against league favorites Munich was always likely to cause problems. Munich ended up with a modest 2-0 win, but Simon scored both those goals from LB, making her a strong candidate for this side.
LM: Heung Min Son (Tottenham) - 87 OVR -> 89 OVR:
Heung-Min Son is a popular choice in EAFC, so a SIF will be positive news The Korean caused constant issues for hapless Southampton with a goal and two assists as Spurs went on to record a comfortable 5-0 win.
CM: Zambo Anguissa (Napoli) - 80 OVR -> 85 OVR:
With a recent track star inclusion, this could easily be deemed as too soon, but with limited Serie A options, I simply cannot ignore Anguissa as an option. The Cameroon international was named MOTM after he scored one of Napoli's three goals during their 3-1 win.
CAM: Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace) - 76 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Should Sarr go on to receive a featured upgrade, this card could be a desirable one with high pace down the center of the park. He will inevitably make the final side after scoring twice and assisting another as Palace continue their strong form, making it five without a loss.
RW: Trincao (Sporting) - 78 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Since losing Amorim, Sporting have seriously struggled for results. A 3-2 win over Boavista will come as a great relief, with the Portuguese outfit remaining top of the table. Trincão scored two of those three, putting him in line for his SIF.
ST: Youssef En-Nesyri (Fenerbahce) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Fenerbahçe continue the chase on league leaders Galatasaray with a 3-1 home win over Başakşehir. En-Nesyri scored two of those three goals, making him the likely inclusion from Turkey this week.
ST: Alexander Isak (Newcastle) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
With limited big-name options standing out, we have to take a couple of punts to improve the side. Isak could be one who benefits from that, after his goal and assist during Newcastle's 4-0 win saw Sky award him a 9/10.
ST: Marie Katoto (PSG) - 88 OVR -> 90 OVR:
Another high-rated option now with Katoto. The PSG striker looks in line for her SIF after scoring twice for PSG during their 3-0 win over St-Étienne.
TOTW 14 Predicted Subs & Reserves
GK: Geronimo Rulli (Marseille) - 79 OVR -> 85 OVR:
A second goalkeeper is not something we have seen often in recent weeks, but with a lot of low-scoring fixtures, especially among the top sides, it's a possibility this week. Rulli is the only player from Ligue 1 making the prediction, after L'Équipe awarded the Argentine an 8/10.
CB: Sergio (Leganes) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Barcelona continue to struggle, with Leganés being the latest side to take points from them. Sergio's goal proved to be the only one of the match, with Leganés beating Barcelona 1-0.
CAM: Alassane Plea (Gladbach) - 77 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Gladbach recorded a comfortable 4-1 home win over Kiel, with Plea being named MOTM after scoring two of those four goals. Kicker awarded the Frenchman a 1.5 match rating, which should secure his position in TOTW 14.
CAM:Lee Jae Sung (Mainz) - 76 OVR -> 86 OVR:
From one Bundesliga CAM to another now, with Sung scoring twice for Mainz as they shocked Munich with a 2-1 win. The Korean was named Bundesliga Player of the Week and looks likely to receive the additional upgrade as a result.
ST: Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba (Al-Ain) - 78 OVR -> 84 OVR:
It is yet to be seen if EA will include this division or not, but after several rogue inclusions last week, I am willing to take the punt. Laba scored all three of Al-Ain's goals as they recorded a 3-1 away win.
ST: Isi Palazon(Vallecano) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
With Barcelona dropping points for fun recently, it has left the door open for an entertaining La Liga title race. Real Madrid failed to capitalize on that this week, only managing a 3-3 draw with Vallecano. Palazón was superb throughout, scoring once and assisting another.
ST: Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:
The Eredivisie has been rather hit-and-miss when it comes to receiving IFs, with seemingly no more than one a week being an option for them. Thankfully, that decision is an easy one this time, with Giménez scoring three during a comfortable Feyenoord win.
RB: Lukas Kubler (Freiburg) - 74 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The reserves were difficult again this week, with limited hat tricks occurring. The first of two defenders making the prediction is Kübler. The Freiburg RB scored twice as they narrowly beat Wolfsburg 3-2.
CB: Noe Dussenne (Lausanne) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Another defender with two goals was Dussenne, with Lausanne's brace helping them defeat Lugano 4-1.
CAM: Alessandro Gabrielloni (Como) - 69 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Como were in desperate need of three points, and it came this weekend via a 2-0 win at home to Roma. Gabrelloni scored once and assisted the other from the bench, then being named POTW in Italy with an 8/10.
CAM: Killian Corredor (Darmstadt) - 69 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Another POTW now, with Corredor's brace and assist seeing him named as Bundesliga 2 POTW. Playing in a CAM role, the Frenchman seems to be a lock for this side.
LM: Jan Kopic (Plzen) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Ending the prediction, we have another rogue division, with Kopic scoring three and assisting another during Plzeň's 7-2 demolition. Again, I am unsure whether this will count for EA, but if they allow it, then Kopic is among the best options of the week.
