Five players previously with an IF make TOTW 11, with the standout options coming from hat tricks by both Kane and Mateo, while a featured Cunha gives flashbacks to his storyline card from FC 24.
TOTW 11 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Yehvann Diouf (Reims) - 77 OVR -> 83 OVR:
When you're struggling with goalkeeper options, the Ligue 1 Keeper of the Week is usually the safest bet. I have followed that logic again here, opting for Diouf after he made five saves during their 1-1 draw with Lyon.
CB: Stefan de Vrij (Inter Milan) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
There were several candidates from Inter Milan's comfortable 5-0 win over Verona, with both strikers and De Vrij all standing out. I opted for the defensive option due to limited competition when it came to defenders this week.
LB: Remy Bensebaini (Dortmund) - 78 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Nmecha was named MOTM from this match, but Bensebaini also featured in Kicker’s TOTW with the same match rating as Nmecha. With two offensive contributions alongside a clean sheet from LB, I feel that Bensebaini is still the better choice here.
LB: Johan Mojica (Mallorca) - 77 OVR -> 83 OVR:
A dramatic finish saw Mallorca come out on top as 3-2 winners against Las Palmas. Mojica scored a last-minute winner to add to his earlier assist. A gold defender with two attacking returns is always a likely inclusion for TOTW.
CAM: Matheus Cunha (Wolves) - 79 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Cunha has been knocking on the door for an IF since Wolves' run of fixtures became easier, and the Brazilian is inevitably over the line now, having scored twice and assisted another as Wolves recorded a 4-1 win over Fulham.
CAM: James Maddison (Tottenham) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
At this point, whoever plays Manchester City is in line for an inform. Maddison is this week’s edition, as his brace helped Tottenham record an impressive 4-0 away win over the reigning champions.
CDM: Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) - 82 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Steve Cooper ended up getting the sack after this match against Chelsea, which wasn't even a poor performance. Enzo ran the show from the middle, providing both a goal and an assist as Chelsea beat Leicester 2-1.
LM: Maghes Akliouche (Monaco) - 76 OVR -> 86 OVR:
My second featured player of the week goes to Akliouche, who was named Ligue 1 Player of the Week after scoring twice for Monaco during their hard-fought 3-2 win.
ST: Patrik Schick (Leverkusen) - 82 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Leverkusen survived an early scare after falling two goals behind. Schick led the comeback, scoring three times, with Leverkusen eventually going on to win comfortably 5-2.
ST: Harry Kane (Munich) - 90 OVR -> 92 OVR:
Onto another Bundesliga striker now with Kane, who also scored three. The Englishman already has three promotional cards, so a fourth after just eleven weeks could be pushing it, but in terms of the TOTW gap, it’s a possibility.
ST:Clara Mateo (Paris) - 85 OVR -> 87 OVR:
In terms of female options, there were significantly fewer candidates than in recent weeks, and although it’s likely we will see several forced in, it’s only Mateo I can confidently predict to make the eventual side, scoring three times during a 4-1 win.
TOTW 11 Predicted Subs & Reserves
CB: Lucas Beraldo (PSG) - 77 OVR -> 83 OVR:
PSG fielded a weaker side, resting several big names, but it didn't stop them from recording a 3-0 win over Toulouse. Beraldo was one of the players benefiting from the changes and could make TOTW as a result after he scored once and kept a clean sheet.
LM: Bryan Gil (Girona) - 76 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Girona were never going to live up to what they managed last season, but they are still putting in a respectable performance, currently sitting just outside of European competition spots. Gil was superb in their latest fixture, scoring once and assisting another two during a 4-1 win.
Christos Tzolis (Club Brugge) - 75 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Although Tzolis only played until the 58th minute, his impact on the game was among the best this week. Scoring four times from LM, he helped guide Brugge to a 7-0 hammering of Sint-Truiden.
CAM:Xherdan Shaqiri (Basel) - 73 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Had Freigang not been included for a 4-week gap a couple of weeks ago, I would have ignored both of these next two selections. But seeing as we know that can happen now, it makes sense to include both. Shaqiri continued his recent fine form, scoring three goals in a 3-1 win.
ST: Ricardo Pepi (PSV) - 73 OVR -> 84 OVR:
I would expect a big European move for Pepi in the summer if he continues his current form for PSV. The young American is scoring for fun, and another three this weekend looks set to secure him his SIF.
ST: Mika Biereth (Graz) - 68 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Yet another SIF now, with Biereth scoring twice and assisting another two during a 7-0 demolition of Graz.
ST: Hugo Duro (Valencia) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:
There were a few La Liga striker options this week, but the best of the bunch has to be Duro. Valencia were in desperate need of some points, and Duro's brace, alongside an assist, ensured they got three.
RB: Josue Casimir (Le Havre) - 71 OVR -> 83 OVR:
You could argue for Casimir at either RB or RM, but with L'Équipe slotting him into RB for their TOTW, I feel that EA will follow suit. If that's the case, with a goal, an assist, and a clean sheet, he simply can't miss out.
LM: Oguz Aydin (Fenerbahce) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
EA continues to opt for one player per week from Turkey, and that decision was far from easy this week, with one possibly being forced in as a result. I have opted for Aydin, who scored twice and assisted another during their 6-2 win.
ST: Emmanuel Latte Lath (Middlesbrough) - 71 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Championship has received a lot of promotional cards recently, so this will be a very usable option should EA opt to include him. With three goals and an assist to his name, he looks nailed on.
ST: Dejan Joveljic (LA Galaxy) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
I fully expect one of LA Galaxy's front three to be included this week after a convincing 6-2 win over Minnesota, but who that will be is up in the air. All three scored twice, but with an additional assist to his name, it's Joveljic who I have opted for.
ST: Efthymios Koulouris (Pogon) - 69 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Polish division is one of the most inconsistent when it comes to the awarding of IFs, with hat tricks sometimes making it while others don't. Even a LB failed to make it! I can't ignore Koulouris this week, though, despite that.
That concludes this week's Team of the Week predictions! What do you make of these predictions? Is there anyone else who should have made the TOTW? Let us know below!
