TOTW 10 Predicted Starting XI
TOTW 10 could be one to remember, with several stars standing out during the international break. Whether it's Haaland, Ronaldo, Wirtz, or Guijarro, there's plenty to get excited about!
GK: Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool) - 77 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Although Ireland conceded five to England, it is Kelleher's midweek performance that gets him the nod here. With several saves, including a superb penalty stop, he helped guide Ireland to a 1-0 win over Finland.
RB: Denzel Dufries (Inter Milan) - 82 OVR -> 86 OVR:
With the first SIF finally out of the way, we can look at including more going forward. One of several I have opted for this week is Dumfries. The Dutchman provided both a goal and an assist as the Netherlands beat Hungary 4-0.
CB: Omar Alderete (Getafe) - 77 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Paraguay shocked Argentina with a 2-1 win, putting them in a great position to qualify from the group. Alderete scored one of their two goals, which should be enough for his inclusion.
LB: Lucas Digne (Aston Villa) - 79 OVR -> 86 OVR:
There are rumours of Rabiot entering the game very soon, but until that happens, I can't include him as an IF. Digne was also superb during France's 3-1 win over Italy, providing two assists from LB.
RM: Brahim Diaz (Real Madrid) - 82 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Morocco confirmed top spot in their group after convincingly beating second-placed Gabon 5-1 away from home. Díaz scored two of those five as his international form continues to excel.
CM: Lindsey Horan (Lyon) - 86 OVR -> 88 OVR:
If you completed Horan's Trailblazer SBC, you may want to look away now. The American scored four goals from CM during an 11-0 demolition as Lyon continue to be the side to beat this season. Although Horan has already heavily featured in promotions, I don't think you can ignore this one.
CM: Patri Guijarro (Barcelona) - 88 OVR -> 89 OVR:
In theory, these are the two best sides in Spain, but in reality, Barcelona are just levels above. A 4-0 away win this week continues their dominant results in the rivalry, and with Guijarro scoring two of those four, she looks nailed on for this week's side.
CAM: Florian Wirtz (Leverkusen) - 88 OVR -> 90 OVR:
Germany showed why they are one of the best sides in the world this week, recording a 7-0 win over Bosnia. Wirtz impressed throughout, scoring twice and assisting another. This would be his third promotional item after just ten weeks, though, so EA could easily snub him.
ST: Erling Haaland (Man City) - 91 OVR -> 92 OVR:
I have included two from Norway this week, with separate games potentially resulting in one from each. Haaland comes from their second match, a 5-0 win over Kazakhstan, in which he scored three. So much for a goal drought!
ST: Alexander Isak (Newcastle) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Although with just a goal and an assist to his name, I would put Isak as one of the best options this week. The Swede was pivotal as Sweden recorded a 2-1 win in their top-of-the-group clash with Slovakia.
ST: Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Despite Ronaldo dropping the occasional retirement hint, the Portuguese legend is still scoring goals for fun at both domestic and international levels. He helped spearhead Portugal to a 5-1 win over Poland with two goals and an assist.
TOTW 10 Predicted Subs & Reserves
GK: Daniel Peretz (Munich) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
What a week it was for Israel! First drawing 0-0 with France, then beating Belgium 1-0. While they remain bottom of their group, there are several positives to take from their performances here. Peretz was phenomenal throughout, especially during the match with France, where he made a total of eight saves.
CB: Daniel Ballard (Sunderland) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Northern Ireland are now in a great position to potentially top their group and gain promotion to Group B in the Nations League. This comes after a 2-0 win over Belarus, meaning they just need a point against Luxembourg. Ballard scored one of their two goals, putting him in line for the IF.
CM: Conor Gallagher (Atletico Madrid) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
England IFs are almost inevitable when it comes to international breaks, but with Bellingham being in the current side, the decision is not an easy one. I went solely based on ratings here, and Gallagher also received an 8, with Bellingham making him the most likely.
CAM: Mehdi Taremi (Inter Milan) - 80 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Iran maintained their unbeaten record with a 3-2 away win over bottom-placed North Korea. Taremi provided the assists on all three goals, and although he then missed a penalty, I believe he has still done enough for the IF.
CAM: Amine Gouiri (Rennes) - 78 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Algeria would have fully expected to top their group after seeing the draw, and they have done so convincingly. Their latest win, a 5-1 victory against Liberia, takes them to 16 points from their 6 matches. Gouiri provided both a goal and an assist.
ST: Fran Kirby (Brighton) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
With limited fixtures being played this week due to the international break, it gives players an opportunity to be included with fewer games. Kirby potentially benefits from that after she provided a goal and an assist as Brighton beat West Ham 3-2.
ST: Ayoze Perez (Villarreal) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Another striker with a goal and an assist was Ayoze Pérez. Spain has often struggled with strikers in recent times, but they can't complain with Pérez's recent display, helping them beat second-placed Denmark to secure top of the group.
LB: Facundo Mura (Racing Club) - 71 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Racing Club are not out of the title race yet, sitting just three points behind leaders Vélez as it stands. Mura helped them this week, scoring twice from LB to help secure a 2-1 win.
CDM: Matthew Garbett (NAC Breda) - 64 OVR -> 83 OVR:
While Wood scored a hat trick during New Zealand's second match, I just don't feel three weeks is a long enough period between IFs, especially with an active POTM card. Instead, Garbett stands out after scoring once and providing three assists during an 8-1 win over Vanuatu.
LM: Antonio Nusa (Leipzig) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Nusa really stood out for Norway this week, scoring twice during a 4-1 win over Slovenia before managing a goal and an assist during a 5-0 win over Kazakhstan. There are a lot of variables here, but at least one of him and Haaland will make it, though both should.
CAM: Jorge Pascual (Eibar) - 65 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Often, it's the case that the second division of Spain receives an IF during the international break. Once again, that could be the case with Pascual scoring twice for Eibar during their 2-0 win.
ST: Duckens Nazon (Kayserispor) - 68 OVR -> 83 OVR:
One of the most obscure international matches of the week saw Haiti win 8-0 away at Sint Maarten. Nazon scored twice and assisted another two during that, concluding the prediction.
