Hello and welcome back to the first week of FC 25 Team of the Week predictions. The start of the game is always an exciting time for TOTW, and this week is no exception. This prediction is packed with Ultimate Team quality!
TOTW 1 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Robert Sanchez (Chelsea) - 79 OVR -> 82 OVR:
Several goalkeepers were in contention this week, with numerous penalty saves and clean sheets across the top divisions. However, Sanchez stood out with six additional saves, ensuring Chelsea took all three points late on against Bournemouth.
LB: Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) - 87 OVR -> 88 OVR:
Serie A options were limited this week, and although Pulisic was named MOTM for Milan, the number of right-sided midfielders already in contention made it difficult to justify his inclusion. Instead, Hernandez gets the nod after scoring once and keeping a clean sheet in a comfortable 4-0 win for AC Milan.
CB: Gabriel (Arsenal) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
The highly anticipated North London Derby saw Arsenal emerge victorious, thanks to a goal from central defender Gabriel. The Brazilian was named MOTM with a convincing 9/10 rating from Sky Sports.
CB: Matthijs De Ligt (Manchester United) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Manchester United avoided three consecutive defeats with a comfortable 3-0 win over Southampton. Onana saved a penalty, but De Ligt, who scored the opener and was solid at the back, was awarded MOTM.
LM: Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Adeyemi could be one of the most sought-after cards if EA opts to give him the featured upgrade. The German forward scored twice and assisted another to help Dortmund to a 4-2 home win, making him a strong candidate for the first TOTW.
CAM: Ademola Lookman (Atalanta) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Lookman has thrived at Atalanta, with his standout performance coming in a 3-2 home win over Fiorentina, where he scored and assisted. The Nigerian was named POTW in Italy, making him a strong choice for TOTW 1.
RM: Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) - 81 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Despite Real Madrid's super squad, Barcelona leads La Liga with five wins from five. Yamal, who is still only 17, stood out this weekend, scoring twice in a 4-1 away win over Girona.
RW: Ousmane Dembele (PSG) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Ligue 1 may not be as hyped as it once was, especially with Mbappe's departure, but Dembele could still excite fans. After scoring twice in PSG's 3-1 win over Brest, he becomes a strong option for an early IF.
ST: Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
With Villa falling two goals behind early on to Everton it looked set to be a long day. Watkins helped ensure that wasn't the case, scoring twice to help complete a 3-2 comeback, resulting in Everton's second consecutive thrown two-goal lead
ST: Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Al-Ittihad look to be serious title contenders this season after some stong summer signings. They recorded a 7-1 demolition on Sunday extending their 100% record. Benzema, who scored a hat-trick, looks to be the best option despite Diaby also recording four assists.
ST: Harry Kane (Bayern Munich - 90 OVR -> 91 OVR:
Early on in the game, the top-end players need to produce something special to be included in TOTW. Harry Kane managed exactly that with his three goals and one assist practically forcing EA's hand despite it being a predominately web app TOTW.
TOTW 1 Predicted Subs & Reserves
CB: Thilo Kehrer (Monaco) - 79 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Kehrer scored the opener as Monaco recorded a routine 3-0 win away at Auxerre. L'equipe awarded him the joint highest rating on the week which as a defender surely sees him included.
CAM: Hans Vanakan (Club Brugge) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
If it wasn't for the severe lack of pace on Vanaken he could become a very usable card with 4*5* and good overall stats. The pace and division does result in instant fodder though. With two goals and an assist to his name, I would be surprised if he doesn't make this side.
CM: Artem Bondarenko (Shakthar Donetsk) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Not the most exciting of options now but one who thoroughly deserves it. Shakthar central midfielder Bondarenko bagged himself a trio of goals as the Ukrainian outlet secured a convincing 5-2 home win.
LM: Klara Buhl (Bayern Munich) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Early signs suggest Munich will dominate the division yet again this season winning their first two matches comfortably. The second being a 6-2 win over Leipzig. Buhl scored twice and assisted another from LM making her a strong candidate for this weeks side.
ST: Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen) - 82 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Leverkusen bounced back from losing their unbeaten streak with a convincing win this weekend. Boniface scored twice and assisted another. We could see the weight lifted from Leverkusens shoulders now.
ST: Puado (Espanyol) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
The strikers for the bench usually need a minimum of three goals and this week is no different. Puado found the net for all three of Espanyol's goals as they recorded a closely battled 3-2 home win over Aalves.
ST: Troy Parrott (AZ Alkmaar) - 68 OVR -> 81 OVR:
AZ Alkmaar's 9-1 win over Heerenveen will likely be one of the biggest victories of the season. Parrott, formerly of Tottenham's youth ranks, scored four times in the demolition.
