We have been given two more Icon SBCs with Base Pavel Nedved and Mid Frank Rijkaard, in this article we are covering Frank Rijkaard. With how Chemistry is applied to Icons in FIFA 23, it will be important to identify how much of an impact it has on a card of this nature and we'll be breaking down everything about this, and will answer the question of should you complete the Rijkaard Icon SBC.
Mid Icon Rijkaard SBC
Rijkaard has always been one of those Icons in FIFA that isn't really sought after, and if you were to pack him from a guaranteed Icon SBC, you would likely be a bit disappointed. There is an interesting dynamic that exists when reviewing SBCs like this in FIFA 23 as both next-generation gameplay featuring the new AcceleRATE system and the old-generation gameplay must be taken into consideration along with the chemistry system. From a first look, Rijkaard is someone who may appeal to some due to his ability to play CB and CDM.
Is Mid Frank Rijkaard Lengthy?
One area which goes in Mid Frank Rijkaard favour is being Lengthy, which is what he starts as and can have all but artist, engine and finisher applied to him to keep him as Lengthy.
Rijkaard has 3-star skills and a 4-star weak foot, which is a usable to an extent for those who may get caught on Rijkaard’s weaker side. He has medium attacking and medium defensive work rates.
Rijkaard was 275,000 coins on the market before the SBC was released, and has increased slightly to 280k since it was released. So how well has EA priced this SBC?
How much does the Rijkaard Icon SBC cost?
The Frank Rijkaard Icon SBC is priced well in relation to his Mid card, the problem is alternatives to the card at this stage of the game, it consists of 6 segments. The early pricing for the SBC is coming in around 230k, so EA has managed to undercut the price on the market which is always the first step for making the SBC more appealing. Is it worth completing the Rijkaard SBC?
As with every Icon SBC, let's kick things off with the reminder that regardless of whether you plan to complete the full SBC or not, please make sure you always complete the Born Legend and Rising Star segments. The reason for this is that you are clearing out some bronze and silver players to get Four tradable rare golds in total, and there's always that chance of packing something amazing.
EA has priced the Rijkaard SBC well however in relation to his card on the market, however with the options available for the price, these go against Rijkaard, but regardless it's definitely something that you can craft towards over the next month with duplicate untradables that you need to get rid of, but is it worth focusing on?
Complete or Yeet? Yeet. With what is available at this stage of the game, he is certainly one card which may not appeal due to other options which are cheaper despite being a card that starts as Lengthy, while the SBC after the packs are done, may cost less than 200k, there are sadly better cards to go for. However, if you grind the game and strive for every card in the game and want to craft Rijkaard then it makes sense, but everyone else should avoid and focus their time, energy, and coins elsewhere.
