I feel a sense of Déjà vu writing this as it was only a month ago I was writing about Rashford’s January POTM SBC, and here we are again, praising the form of one of the candidates for the Premier League Player of the Season award at this point.
On the face of it, this new POTM Item boasts some impressive in-game stats, including 96 Sprint Speed, 99 Shot Power, and 92 Curve, before any Chemistry Styles are applied. Rashford also has 5-Star Skill Moves to begin with, however, his 3-Star Weak Foot hasn’t received an upgrade, despite the fact Rashford’s World Cup Stories Item has a 4-Star Weak Foot, which decreases the usability of this POTM Item.
While this POTM Rashford is a great Item, the cost of the SBC just doesn’t match the quality of what you get in return, especially as his 3-Star Weak Foot wasn’t given an upgrade. Some would point to the fact that Rashford’s World Cup Stories Item is currently on the market for around the same price as the cost of this POTM SBC, perhaps even cheaper, and say the SBC is fair value, however, that Stories Item has that 4-Star Weak Foot upgrade this POTM Item lacks, plus of course, you can sell the Stories version if and when you want to so, for me, this SBC isn’t worth completing.
Which Chemistry Style should you use on POTM Rashford?
If you’re using Rashford as a Striker, I’d recommend using a Finisher. It boosts his Finishing to 99, his Positioning to 92, and his Agility to 96. As a Winger, I’d suggest using an Engine.
Is the Premier League POTM Marcus Rashford SBC worth completing?
The extra in-game stats this new POTM Item has over the January version doesn’t warrant you spending all those coins on an Item that’s only marginally better. I’d only consider completing this SBC if you’re flush with coins or if you’re a Manchester United fan and want the best Manchester United team possible.
If you completed Rashford’s January POTM SBC, which cost about 270,000 coins at the time, there is absolutely no need to complete this SBC.
However, the SBC expires on Monday, April 10th, so you have over a month to craft with any extra fodder and duplicates if you want to.
