Hello and welcome to our prediction for Team of the Week 4 which will be released on Wednesday this week!
We have been blessed with good Team of the Weeks so far in FIFA 23 but this week you probably want to save your inform packs because it's most likely not going to be as good unless EA throws players like De Bruyne in. Also there have been a ton of good goalkeepers this week, especially from the Premier League and it was impossible to include every single one so keep that in mind. It's still not a completely bad side with a couple of big names in it so go ahead and check it out!
STARTING XI
GK: Gregor Kobel (Borussia Dortmund) - 83 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Borussia Dortmund put in a battling performance to see off the challenge of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening. Goals from Brandt and Bellingham secured a hard-fought 2-1 win for the visitors. Fresh off his penalty save against Man City, Kobel delivered another match-winning performance against Frankfurt. He kept his side's lead intact in the second half by making a number of world class saves. Had it not been for him, Borussia Dortmund would most certainly have lost the game.
LB: Nicolas Tagliafico (OL) - 81 OVR -> 84 OVR:
Alexandre Lacazette bagged his eight goal since returning to Lyon from Arsenal as Laurent Blanc picked up a win on his home debut against LOSC but the one who got named Man of the Match was Argentine full-back Tagliafico who assisted the goal and was a constant threat on his left hand side.
LB: Alex Moreno (Real Betis) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
There have been a few lower rated gold defenders this week with a chance to make it into the side, one of them is Real Betis' Alex Moreno after he assisted both goals in Betis' 2-0 win against Real Sociedad.
CB: Stefan de Vrij (Inter) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan continued their resurgence as they defeated a struggling Sampdoria side 3-0 at home to notch their fourth Serie A win on the trot and rise to fifth in the standings. The Dutch veteran rolled back the years and put in arguably his finest performance over the last few weeks. De Vrij opened the scoring on the night and was a colossus at the other end. His intelligence and reading of the game nullified anything Sampdoria threw in his direction.
RB: Youcef Atal (OGC Nice) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
OGC Nice came from behind to end Lorient's eight-game unbeaten run with a 2-1 victory in Brittany on Sunday. Nice dictated the proceedings from the start but Lorient took the lead early and Schmeichel had to be alert a couple of times before Atal finally equalised.
CDM: Christian Eriksen (Manchester United) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Manchester United moved to within a point of the top four thanks to a 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday. The Dane had another tidy performance and complimented his midfield partner delightfully. Took up very good positions at times and curled in a beautiful ball for Rashford's goal. On top he played three key passes, two accurate crosses and also made two clearances, he was key in the first half for the Red Devils.
CM: Rodrigo Bentancur (Spurs) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR*:
Tottenham staged a brilliant comeback from two-goal down as they tamed Bournemouth with a last-gasp winner in the Premier League. Rodrigo Bentancur completely changed the game when he came on, adding composure and intensity to the midfield, and for the second game running was the goalscoring here with a cool finish.
LM: Sadio Mané (FC Bayern) - 89 OVR -> 90 OVR:
Defending champions Bayern Munich finished October in style as they picked up another convincing win, beating Mainz 05 6-2 at the Allianz Arena. It was an excellent performance from the Senegalese attacker, who was difficult to pin down. Mane linked up well with his teammates and also made a few darting runs that caused mayhem in the Mainz backline. An output of two assists and a goal were just desserts for what was an impressive day out.
RW: Carlos Vela (LAFC) - 81 OVR -> 84 OVR:
LAFC made it to the MLS Cup 2002 final after trashing Austin FC 3-0 on Sunday afternoon. LAFC captain Vela had a hand in the first two goals, whipping in a pair of corner kicks for Arango and Urruti to head home. The Mexican put in a vintage performance to lead LAFC to their first MLS Cup appearance.
ST: Callum Wilson (Newcastle Utd.) - 79 OVR -> 82 OVR:
Newcastle United cruised to a 4-0 statement triumph over relegation-battling Aston Villa as they continue to prove their Champions League credentials. Wilson enjoyed a great tussle with Tyrone Mings, with the pair in a boxing match of their own in the opening exchanges of the game, giving it as good as they got. However, it was Wilson who had the last laugh here with a brace while he also got on top of Mings to smash his header onto Robin Olsen’s crossbar, which could have been his hat-trick.
ST: Victor Osimhen (Napoli FC) - 83 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Napoli extended their unbeaten run in the 2022/23 Serie A campaign and picked up another convincing and comfortable win, this time beating Sassuolo with 4-0. There have been two standout performers with one being the Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, the in-form Super Eagle striker scored three of the four goals for Napoli and picked up an 8.5 match rating and Player of the Week.

SUBS
GK: Illan Meslier (Leeds Utd.) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Leeds United picked up a famous 2-1 victory away at Liverpool courtesy of Crysencio Summerville's late goal but it's Illan Meslier who deserves the praise after his outstanding performance. Blameless for the goal, but stopped several other big chances. Stood up in big moments and his saves got better as the match wore on. Man of the Match.
RB: Waldemar Anton (VfB Stuttgart) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
VfB Stuttgart went back on winning ways after their heavy 5-0 defeat against Dortmund as they came from behind to beat Augsburg 2-1 and move out of the Bundesliga's bottom three. Anton scored the game winning goal late in injury-time to seal all three points for his side and could pick up the inform this week.
CAM: Robert Zulj (LASK) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Another player who scored three goals this week was former Bochum midfielder Robert Zulj. LASK recorded a comfortable 4-1 victory over Wolfsberger AC and Zulj scored three of the goals from the CAM position.
LM: Peter Olayinka (Slavia Praha) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Well, this is a bit of a punt as gold players from lower leagues have been ignored a couple times despite their good performances. Slavia Praha recorded a 4-1 victory over Bohemians on Sunday and Olayinka had his hands in three of the goals, scoring two and assisting another.
RM: Antonio Candreva (Salernitana) - 80 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Lazio Roma fell to a shock-defeat at home against Salernitana on Sunday afternoon, giving away three important points in a 1-3 loss. The visitors have been dominating the home side and Candreva scored one of the goals for them and adding an assist, picking up a 7.5 match rating from Gazzetta.
ST: Michy Batshuayi (Fenerbahce) - 77 OVR -> 81 OVR:
There are quite a couple of gold players who scored three goals this week and one of them was Batshuayi. Fenerbahce recorded a 5-2 victory over Istanbulspor on Sunday and the Belgian international scored three of the goals, one from the spot, and assisted another for his side.
ST: Lois Openda (RC Lens) - 75 OVR -> 81 OVR:
Seko Fofana and RC Lens made it seven home wins from seven in Ligue 1 this season with a 3-0 win over Toulouse on Saturday to cement second place in the table. Lens' summer signing from Club Brugge had already looked impressive, but nearly doubled his season's league goal tally, taking himself to seven after he came on in the second half and scored a hat-trick. He only picked up a 6 match rating from L'Equipe which is due to their ratings system but for sure he's not missing out.
RESERVES
CM: Josué (Legia Warszawa) - 72 OVR -> 79 OVR:
The second inform from the Polish Ekstraklasa could come in the name of Josué who got snubbed on a couple times last Fifa. Legia recorded a thumping 5-2 victory over Jagiellonia and Josue scored three of the goals for his side.
CAM: Sebastian Kowalczyk (Pogón Szczecin) - 69 OVR -> 77 OVR:
Polish side Pogon went back on winning ways after two draws in a row with a convincing 4-2 win against Miedz and Kowalczyk scored three goals and assisted another and could be one of two Ekstraklasa players to be featured.
ST: Guido Burgstaller (SK Rapid Wien) - 72 OVR -> 79 OVR:
The next one can easily miss out as it comes from a mid-week fixture. SK Rapid took all three points on Wednesday last week with a trashing 5-1 victory over Hartberg and former Bundesliga player Guido Burgstaller scored three of the goals.
ST: Ola Toivonen (Malmö FF) - 73 OVR -> 79 OVR:
Malmö went back on winning ways in the Swedish Allsvenskan after three defeats in a row with a thumping 5-2 against relegation-battling Varberg and Toivonen was the star of the show, scoring three of the five goals for his team.
ST: David McGoldrick (Derby County) - 70 OVR -> 78 OVR:
Derby County stormed to a 4-2 victory to secure Paul Warne's first home win as Rams head coach. David McGoldrick was the standout, scoring three goals for his side and should be in the side this week.
