Welcome to the latest Team of the Week Prediction, we're back from the International Break with goals galore!
This game week has been littered with incredible goals scored, whether it be style or substance we've had incredible quality all across the world, the best one being that amazing bicycle kick scored by Garnacho against Everton.
Without further ado, let's get into our predictions for TOTW 11:
TOTW 11 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Lucas Chevalier (Lille) - 78 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Keepers were nigh on impossible to select this week which makes Chevalier the only realistic option. The Frenchman demonstrated his prowess by making a total of five saves to keep the Lille clean sheet, as they recorded a 2-0 win over Lyon.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Manchester City v Liverpool was a cagey affair with neither side wanting to give too much. Eventually, the match ended as a draw with Haaland’s strike being neutralised via a fantastic Trent goal late on.
CB : Pau Torres (Aston Villa) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Tottenham’s collapse continues with another loss, this time to Aston Villa. Pau Torres scored one of the two goals to claim MOTM, proving why Unai Emery rates him so highly.
LB: Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Although Hernandez’s goal was from the spot with it being the only goal of the match alongside limited Serie A options I can see him sneaking in. EA love to include Hernandez wherever possible and I see this being no exception.
RM: Beth Mead (Arsenal) - 87 OVR -> 88 OVR:
The first of two WSL inclusions comes with Beth Mead. The English midfielder scored two of Arsenal’s three goals as they proceeded to record a 3-0 home win over West Ham.
CAM: Dries Mertens (Galatasaray) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
With the current state of IF prices, this card will likely cost more than his 87 RTTK, underscoring the unique market conditions within the game. The Belgian was pivotal for Galatasaray this weekend, scoring twice and assisting another.
CAM: Malcom (Al-Hilal) - 81 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Al-Hilal ran riot, securing an emphatic nine-goal victory. Malcolm, who was an early evolution favourite looks set to be included in TOTW 11. The Brazilian scored three times during the romp.
RW: Caroline Graham Hansen (Barcelona) - 90 OVR -> 91 OVR:
The highest-rated option of the week goes to Hansen. Barcelona maintained their impeccable record, making it ten from ten with a comfortable 4-0 win over Bilbao. Hansen had a say in all four goals, scoring once and assisting another three.
ST: Niclas Fullkrug (Dortmund) - 80 OVR -> 86 OVR:
I could have easily gone without a Bundesliga option this weekend but realistically we will see at least one included. From Kicker’s TOTW the best option seems to be Fullkrug despite only recording a goal and an assist.
ST: Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Another dominant win came from the WSL with Manchester City destroying Tottenham 7-0. Shaw scored the first three providing the platform for Manchester City to enter cruise control.
ST: Morales (Villarreal) - 79 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Another hat trick now with Villarreal’s Morales scoring all three of their goals during a 3-1 triumph over Osasuna. This card is not as impressive as previous seasons but deserving of a spot nonetheless.
TOTW 11 Predicted Subs
RB: Jeremy Toljan (Sassuolo) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Sassuolo played out a seven-goal thriller with Empoli this weekend and although they conceded three times it's a defender who went on to claim the joint-highest match rating with a 7.5 from Gazzetta. Toljan provided one assist and caused constant issues for Empoli.
CM: Fabian Ruiz (PSG) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
PSG battled their way to a 5-2 win over Monaco this weekend in their top-of-the-table clash. There was no clear IF option but with Ruiz receiving an 8/10 from L’equipe, his chances look strong to me.
LW: Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United) - 75 OVR -> 83 OVR:
If you haven’t seen the Garnacho goal this weekend what have you been doing? The Argentine showcased superb technique to score an overhead kick worthy of GOTS. Sky awarded him Player of the Week with a 9/10 match rating.
LM: Marcus Tavernier (Bournemouth) - 75 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Another left-sided prem midfielder now with Tavernier. The Englishman scored twice to secure all three points in a relegation scrap between Sheffield United and Bournemouth.
ST: Ilya Shkurin (Stal Mielec) - 66 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Polish division has been snubbed on a couple of occasions but with an inclusion a couple of weeks ago it shows that they can receive IF’s Shkurin gets the nod over a couple of other hat trick options as a result.
ST: Bard Finne (SK Brann) - 68 OVR -> 83 OVR:
There were a couple of decent options from the Norwegian division this week but with a total of four goal contributions (Two goals and two assists), I can’t see the IF going anywhere other than Bard Finne.
ST: Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord) - 78 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Gimenez continued his prolific goalscoring adding another three to his tally this weekend. That takes him to a remarkable 16 goals in 13 matches. Surely this will spark interest from Europe’s top divisions.
