Welcome to the latest Team of the Week Prediction, this time from the International Break!
This game week has been full of record breakers with France beating Gibraltar 14-0 and Romelu Lukaku making history by scoring 4 goals against Azerbaijan, making it 14 goals in the European Qualifiers for the AS Roma striker: The most ever in the competition's history.
Without further ado, let's get into our predictions for TOTW 10:
TOTW 10 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Carlos Coronel (New York Red Bulls) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
I seriously struggled to find a goalkeeper at all this week but after looking through several times I settled on Paraguay’s Coronel. Making five saves in total he managed to keep his clean sheet during a 0-0 draw with Chile.
RWB: Joao Cancelo (Portugal) - 86 OVR -> 88 OVR:
There is a chance that Cancelo will be classed as a RM but with minimal defensive options available it is a risk I am willing to take. Cancelo picked up one of the highest match ratings of the week for his goal and overall performance in Portugal’s 2-0 win over Liechtenstein.
CB: David Alaba (Real Madrid) - 85 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Austria recorded a 2-0 win over Estonia with a couple of defensive performances standing out. Alaba was one, providing an assist and a strong defensive performance. Lienhardt grabbed the goal but it could go either way.
RB: Ronald Araujo (Barcelona) - 86 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Uruguay upset Argentina this weekend with a fairly comfortable 2-0 win. Araujo scored one of those two goals and would be a very popular inclusion among the FIFA community, thus I can’t see EA missing the opportunity.
LM: Luis Diaz (Liverpool) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
The Diaz story of recent weeks is an emotional one and what an ending to it we have here. The Colombian scored twice with his father in the stands to secure a 2-1 win over Brazil. Emotional scenes and the first of three Liverpool players I have selected this week.
LM: Federico Chiesa (Juventus) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
With a slow start to their qualifying campaign, Italy found themselves in a bit of trouble early on. A convincing 5-2 win over North Macedonia sees a crunch battle with Ukraine to decide who comes second in the group. Chiesa’s brace against NM should be enough to see his inclusion in TOTW 10.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) - 82 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Recent evolution completionists will not be happy to see this inclusion but Szoboszlai should be hitting TOTW 10 come Wednesday. The Hungarian scored a brace during their 3-1 win which included an impressive solo run.
RM: Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich) - 85 OVR -> 87 OVR:
A simply ridiculous 14-0 entailed with France facing Gibraltar, their biggest on record. Mbappe was of course heavily involved but with the Frenchman featuring in TOTW 9, he can’t make it. Instead, we have Coman who scored twice and provided an assist.
ST: Romelu Lukaku (Roma) - 84 OVR -> 87 OVR:
The first of two strikers to score four goals this week is Lukaku. The Belgian scored their first four as they went on to beat Azerbaijan 5-0. It’s a real shame that Lukaku failed to show his best in the Premier League, at least consistently anyway.
ST: Sardar Azmoun (Roma) - 78 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Lukaku’s striker partner at domestic level also performed during the International break with Azmoun scoring twice and assisting another as Iran went on to beat Hong Kong 4-0.
ST: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 89 OVR -> 91 OVR:
Onto a third option from Liverpool now with the Egyptian wizard. Salah scored four times from an ST role as Egypt comfortably beat Djibouti 6-0. He also provided an assist during their second fixture of the week but it was the first that secured his spot.
TOTW 10 Predicted Subs
CB: Michael Murillo (Marseille) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Panama shocked Costa Rica with a 3-0 win this weekend. Murillo opened the scoring from the back early on and battled hard to keep the clean sheet intact. With the positional change, he is likely to be a gem in this week's side.
LW: Lukas Haraslin (Sparta Prague) - 76 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Back-to-back wins helped secure qualification for Slovakia this week. It was from their first fixture that Haraslin earned his spot in TOTW 10. Scoring twice and assisting another to help Slovakia beat Iceland 4-2.
RM: Lovro Majer (Wolfsburg) 79 OVR -> 83 OVR:
With one game to go for Croatia now they just need to find a result against Armenia to secure qualification. Their latest win over Latvia came with Majer providing both a goal and an assist from the wing to claim MOTM.
LM: Lauren James (Chelsea Women) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Chelsea recorded a convincing 5-1 win over Liverpool in the Women's Super League on Saturday with Lauren James stealing the show. Three goals and one assist from the winger will inevitably secure her spot in TOTW 10.
ST: Karim Konate (Salzburg) - 67 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Ivory Coast were another side to record a convincing win with the African outlet scoring nine without reply when facing Seychelles. Konate was involved in four of those goals with both two goals and two assists.
ST: Jamie Maclaren (Melbourne City) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The A-League has been snubbed on numerous occasions domestically but with an international performance being the reason for this IF maybe EA will include them. Maclaren scored three times during a 9-0 win for Australia.
ST: Ayase Ueda (Feyenoord) - 73 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Japan recorded a 5-0 win at home to Myanmar this week with Feyenoord striker Ueda claiming the headlines. With a hat trick, it makes his position in this side nailed on.
