Welcome to my predictions for the Bundesliga Team of the Season in EA FC 24! Today I’m going to be giving some insight into who might be in TOTS this year from the Bundesliga, as well as their potential stats and PlayStyles.
I’ll be predicting a Starting XI with 6 subs, as well as a few honorable mentions at the end who could be in with a shout. To note, this is a prediction of what I think EA will do for Team of the Season, rather than a list of who I think is the most deserving.
TOTS Bundesliga Starting XI
Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel - Dortmund
Kobel’s strong performance has helped Dortmund make the most of a difficult season. His reliable shot stopping has kept them in games and in the hunt for 4th in the table. Although the defense in front of him has sometimes been shaky, he has consistently turned up with big saves.
Right Back: Jeremie Frimpong - Leverkusen
The first of many Leverkusen players in the team, Frimpong has had a tremendous season as a marauding right wing back. Ultimate Team fans will know how good this player item will be given his TOTY item earlier this cycle. His all-around ability will make him a force in any position in-game.
Center Back: Jonathan Tah - Leverkusen
Joining Frimpong at the back is Leverkusen’s vice-captain and heart of the defense, Jonathan Tah. You really could make the case for any of Leverkusen’s center backs as they have all been excellent, but Tah sits at the heart of the defense as a leader on and off the pitch.
Center Back: Kim Min Jae - Bayern
Although Bayern have had a poor season by their lofty standards, they have still had a number of strong individual performers. Kim has had a good season at the back for Bayern, offering reliable defending as well as aerial threat on set pieces and creative passing from the back.
Left Back: Álex Grimaldo - Leverkusen
Opposite his teammate on the right flank, Grimaldo has also been fantastic for Leverkusen’s title campaign. His whipped crosses and set piece delivery add to his goal and assist output from open play to make him arguably the best left back in the world at the moment. 9 goals and 11 assists from fullback/wingback is extremely impressive. This should be another versatile TOTS item that can play in a number of roles.
Center Midfielder: Joshua Kimmich - Bayern
Kimmich is still one of the best midfielders in the world, with his ability to unlock defenses from deep. He’s become a leader for Bayern and one of their most reliable players. Ultimate Team players will remember his strong UEFA item and be looking forward to his TOTS item.
Center Midfielder: Julian Brandt - Dortmund
Brandt’s attacking ability from midfield is crucial for Dortmund, as he has the creativity to produce lots of chances for himself and his teammates. He’s currently tied for the most assists in the league with Grimaldo and Sané. As another popular player in Ultimate Team, he will likely have a highly desired TOTS item.
Center Midfielder: Florian Wirtz - Leverkusen
Wirtz is the creative hub for Leverkusen, with his impressive dribbling and lethal runs in behind offering threat all over the pitch. As he’s been racking up POTM and TOTW items throughout the cycle, his TOTS should be a great one that every player will want in Ultimate Team.
Right Wing: Leroy Sané - Bayern
Sané has been one of Bayern’s best players, as he has evolved from a direct and pacey winger into a more creative creator with a deadly long shot on him. He’s currently tied for the most assists in the league, while also providing 8 goals. Ultimate Team users will be familiar with Sané’s rapid pace, but will also enjoy his strong shooting ability.
Striker: Serhou Guirassy - Stuttgart
Guirassy’s 24 goals have been key to Stuttgart’s impressive season that looks set to get them into the Champions League next season. Guirassy and Stutgart have both surprised and impressed fans of the Bundesliga, and he should be a fun yet affordable TOTS item for Ultimate Team players.
Striker: Harry Kane - Bayern
There’s no denying that Kane is one of the premier strikers of his generation, as he has dominated the Bundesliga this season. Averaging more than a goal a game and also chipping in 7 assists, Kane is one of the most complete strikers in the game. Although Bayern have had a poor season, Kane has been a consistent positive for the team. Could this Kane be even better than his very popular TOTS item last season?
TOTS Bundesliga, Mini-Release, SBCs & Objective
Left Back: Maximilian Mittelstädt - Stuttgart
Mittelstädt has been excellent this season, which has landed him a spot in the German national team XI. If not for Grimaldo, he would be getting much more attention as one of the best left backs in the world this season.
Center Midfielder: Granit Xhaka - Leverkusen
Xhaka has made an instant impact at Leverkusen, offering leadership as well as a great range of passing. Arsenal fans and Bundesliga fans alike will be after this TOTS item.
Center Midfielder: Xavi Simons - Leipzig
Simons is one of the brightest young players in Europe, and has had a great season at Leipzig. An early-cycle Ultimate Team favorite, expect his TOTS item to be popular as well.
Center Midfielder: Jamal Musiala - Bayern
Another exciting young attacking midfielder, Musiala joins Wirtz and Simons as some of the gems of the league. He should also be very popular in Ultimate Team.
Striker: Loïs Openda - Leipzig
Openda’s rapid pace in behind has been huge for Leipzig this season. If you like to play on the counter, Openda is the right man for you.
Striker: Dennis Undav - Stuttgart
Joining his teammate Guirassy, the on-loan Undav has been critical for Stuttgart’s attack this season. His well-rounded abilities in front of goal should make for a good TOTS item.
