braces for angry Arsenal fans
As we inch ever closer to EAFC 24, it's time for another ratings prediction! This time it's from the bottle captial of Europe, North London. And Arsenal fans, before you get annoyed, that could be just because Spurs are there...
In all seriousness, Arsenal absolutely blew everyone away last year with one of the biggest year on year improvements we've seen in the Premier League era. A coming of age season for Saka, Odegaard and Martinelli, a breakout season for Saliba and a Granit Xhaka renaissance that seemed impossible just a few seasons prior. The lego haired Pep prodigy with a penchant for lightbulbs proved he was far more than "just the cone man" at City and Arteta is rightly now seen as one of the elite young managers in world football.
With some exciting new transfers and Kai Havertz added to their squad, I expect the the existing Arsenal contingent to have hefty upgrades almost across the board in FC 24. So without further ado, let's get into the predictions!
Arsenal FC EA Sports FC 24 Predicted Ratings
Martin Odegaard
86 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +2 upgrade
I could comfortably see this be as high as 87 too. One of the best CAM's in the league last year, any lingering doubts about whether he would live up to his 15 year old potential are surely gone now. A sumptuous footballer who can still get better.
Bukayo Saka
86 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +4 upgrade
There is a genuine argument that Saka was the best winger in the league last season. As such I think a hefty upgrade is overdue. I will be surprised if it's any higher than 86 but another season like the last and starboy will be pushing Salah for highest rated winger in the league.
Declan Rice
85 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +1 upgrade
A really tough player to rate for next year. An upgrade is absolutely necessary, he did win a European trophy after all, but West Ham were terrible. I do think the transfer will cement an upgrade but I think a modest one is fair.
Jorginho
84 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — -1 downgrade
I am surprised Jorginho is still at Arsenal. A really astute pick up for a year, there's no arguing he should still be an 85, but I think to downgrade him too much further would be harsh.
Thomas Partey
84 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — no change
He performed to a decent standard for most of last year. Although whether he should have been on the pitch at all is another question.
Gabriel Jesus
84 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +1 upgrade
Jesus could easily be an 85 but I think his injury will count against him here. An odd phenomenon in that he's a striker who doesn't really score goals and yet is an absolute fan favourite.
William Saliba
84 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +4 upgrade
The breakout star of this Arsenal team last season. The definition of a Rolls Royce defender. He will be an absolute powerhouse CB early game next year and I think anything less than 83 rating will be a travesty.
Aaron Ramsdale
83 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +1 upgrade
If "susceptible at the near post" was a trait, Ramsdale would have it. But his ability with his feet and his traditional shot stopping are established enough that he is often forgiven. A great season for what should be England's number 1. Whether he's Arsenal's number 1 at the end of the season will be interesting to watch...
Gabriel Martinelli
83 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +5 upgrade
78 was honestly a little insulting. A delightful winger who has already produced a delicious opening day assist. I think +5 is far but one could argue for an even bigger upgrade given the enormity of the talent involved.
Kai Havertz
83 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — -1 downgrade
What a weird signing. Someone who seemed to be bought as an 8 despite being a 10 that was being badly deployed as a 9. And yet with Jesus' injury, his first game for the Gunners was in the 9 role he stunk out last year and his second required Thomas Partey to play right back to get him involved.
Gabriel
82 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +1 upgrade
The lesser of the two defenders by a distance for me. Gabriel has a mistake in him. Still a very good CB, but a far worse CB without Saliba next to him. Still an upgrade is definitely warranted for the Brazilian bruiser.
Jurrien Timber
81 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +1 upgrade
Less than a week into the season and Timber has already been felled. A cruel ACL injury means we probably won't see much of this versatile defender this season. However a superb year at Ajax warrants an upgrade, could easily see him being an 82.
Oleksander Zinchenko
81 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +2 upgrade
In the space of a year Zinchenko has gone from modern day full back, to post modern inverted full back, to left sided Trent, to potentially being replaced before Timber's injury? Much better on the ball than off it, Zinchenko will be an alternative position nightmare but should have a decent upgrade.
Ben White
81 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +2 upgrade
Modern football is making full back's midfielders and CB's full back's. Ben White seemed to be a placeholder at RB but he absolutely made the position his own last year. What he lacks in attacking flair he more than makes up for in defensive acumen. A brilliant balancer for a postmodern back 4.
Leandro Trossard
81 Overall Rating in EA Sports FC 24 — +2 upgrade
If Arsenal had won the league last year, Leandro Trossard would have been the signing of the season. A brilliantly versatile attacker off the Brighton production line, his ability to get on the scoresheet was vital for Arsenal and will be this season. Even if he does look perpetually knackered.

With few transfers expected between now and the window closing, this should be the majority of the Arsenal squad. If they have another season like the last one, FC 25's ratings could be even more inflated than FC 24's! Hope you enjoyed the predictions, all just a bit of fun in the end, but right now, it's tiiiiiiime to goooooo!
Do you agree? Which ratings would you change? Who do you want to see next? Comment Below!
