The Ultimate Team Launch Update for EA Sports FC 24 was released on September 15th giving us more info on how things will be this year.
With there being so much information packed in there, we’ve decided to pick out the most important things that you need to know before the launch of the new game.
With some very famous words, here we go!
5. Early Access and Nike MAD Ready Promo
With the launch of the Webapp, the mobile Companion and early-access for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24, here are all the important dates you need to know:
- Webapp Release: 20th September
- Companion App Release: 21st September
- Early Access Release(PlayStation and Xbox): 22nd September (Midnight Local Time)
- Early Access Release(PC): 22nd September (5 AM British Time)
- Full Release: 29th September
With the Early Access we're also getting our first ever Early Access Promo with the Nike MAD Ready Campaign.
The promo will include select players who will be made available in packs with NO STAT UPGRADES.
These cards will have a unique card design and can be used to complete objectives to unlock rewards in game.
You will also receive FC Founder Status and Rewards by logging into the game before 1st November.
4. Player Evolutions
More and more information is coming in about the latest exciting feature coming to Ultimate Team this year.
With the ability to take players in your club and get them upgrades in Stats, Skill Moves, Weak Foot, PlayStyles and much more, people will be able to take their favourite player from any part of the world and make them competitive in the game.
You will be able to use any player as long as they meet the Evolution Criteria, including Bronzes, Silvers, Golds, Icons and even Promo Cards with EA Officially announcing the Centurions promo and that there will be promo specific Evolutions.
There are so many questions surrounding this, so if you want to know more about Evolutions in EA Sports FC 24 check out this page on FUT.GG here.
3. Icons Revamped
We've always talked about how some of the Icons we see in the game don't reflect how these legends played on the pitch.
Keeping that in mind, EA Sports FC will see Icons fully revamped this year to make these greats of the game more usable for us.
With better Chemistry offered by the cards, they were already going to be better for squad building but they will be different on the pitch as well.
In EA Sports FC 24 we will only have ONE base Icon card for all Icons, unlike the previous Base, Mid and Prime versions.
This will allow card to get changes to their stats, with a +10 boost in Balance for Thierry Henry and a 4-Star Weak Foot for Ruud van Nistelrooy being some of the changes confirmed.
Icons will be included in more promo campaigns across the year, with there being lower and higher versions of them compared to their base cards, similar to Trophy Titans in FUT 23.
2. Changes in Rivals and Squad Battles
In EA Sports FC 24 we will see the rewards systems updated in Division Rivals and Squad Battles.
The community felt like the reward for reaching higher divisions and ranks wasn't worth the effort that was being put in so EA are trying to change that.
Division Rivals
Rewards will be updated across all ranks with more focus being given to Division 2 and above in Rivals.
Red Picks that were being offered as rewards in Elite Division will be switched to equivalent value rewards. (More on this below)
Squad Battles
Squad Battles will see major changes, specifically in the amount of time it takes to play the game mode.
The half-time length of the Single Player game mode will be lowered from 6 minutes to 4 minute halves.
In addition to that, the total number of games that will count towards your weekly rank will be lowered from 40 down to 30 games.
Weekly Rewards in Squad Battles, Division Rivals and Champions should now include Season XP to aid in your progress in EA Sports FC 24.
1. Champions Rewards Updated
Major changes will be seen in Champions or Weekend League rewards in EA Sports FC 24.
The first major change is that we will no longer have the iconic "Red Picks" or The Ultimate Team Champions players as rewards for the Weekend League.
These cards will be replaced by "cards of equivalent value in-game". This could mean that we finally see Campaign Promo cards being added to the rewards line-up.
We will be seeing the Red Picks back in the game at some point in some other way so don't get too nostalgic here.
Rewards will be switched up, with more focus being on the rewards received by players getting Rank 2 or higher.
This is to encourage a better balance between difficulty and rewards for the elite players, making the grind towards getting those extra wins worth it.
The idea in EA Sports FC 24 is to make Champions be the main way of upgrading your squad throughout the game cycle, and these changes should help us see that being true.
EA Sports FC 24 is just around the corner. If you want to stay updated with all the important information year long, keep an eye on the FUT.GG News page.
