“Level Up” came out of the blue and it has us excited to play FIFA 23 one more time before it ends.
The latest promo in FIFA Ultimate Team focuses on levelling up your players to get an untradeable upgraded version of that card in your club via player objectives.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Level Up promo.
What is Level Up?
Level Up is the latest promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team that allows us to acquire cards in packs, SBC’s and objectives and then level them up to an upgraded version.
Each Friday during the promo in the Milestones tab will contain the objective we need to complete so we can level up our players.
There are 2 versions of each card released. The upgraded cards also include Premium Level Up cards that have the same Premium Chemistry introduced in Shapeshifters.
With some of the best cards in the game getting 2 boosted versions like Kevin De Bruyne and Renato Sanches puts us truly in the end game.
How do I obtain the non-upgraded Level Up players?
The non-upgraded versions of Level Up players can be obtained either through packs or buying them on the transfer markets. Certain cards like Raheem Sterling, Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Kiliann Sildillia can be unlocked via objectives and SBCs.
If you’re trying to complete the Level Up objectives and don’t have the non-upgraded players there is a way you can get them for “free”.
If you play Co-Op with someone who has those cards in their squad it will also count towards your own objective and give both players the card at the end.
It’s worth noting that this doesn’t work in Squad Battles games anymore. If you’re doing Level Up objectives in Co-Op it will only work in Division Rivals and FUT Champions.
If you want to buy the non-upgraded version of Level Up cards and complete the objectives or pack them untradable they can be sold back or used in SBCs while you use the upgraded versions.
Will Level Up cards have Premium Chemistry?
It hasn’t been advertised but there are certain Level Up cards that have the Premium Chemistry that was introduced during Shapeshifters.
Only the upgraded versions of Level Up cards have a chance of having Premium Chemistry.
Premium Chemistry means the player will always get the full three chemistry points, and contributes an extra player's worth of chemistry to players of the same nation. Their club and nation chemistry contribution will remain unchanged.
The Level Up cards that have Premium Chemistry in Team 1 are:

Who are the best Level Up players?
There are some absolutely fantastic players released in Level Up.
Here are some of our picks for the best ones:
- Level Up Kevin De Bruyne: He may cost 15 Million coins and 30 games to unlock but as the only other 99 rated card he’s so worth it
- Level Up Renato Sanches: 5-Star Skill moves is just another addition to the most versatile player in the game
- Level Up Edinson Cavani: 5-Star Skill Moves, Premium Chemistry and some of the best AI movement in attack, this guy has it all and is very easy to unlock.
- Level Up Killian Sildillia: The cheapest card in Team 1 and looks to be one of the best RBs in the game
Note that these are all the upgraded versions of the player that are being talked about above.
